Change Of Hands

For this induction task we where instructed to create a short film in which a parcel changes hands. We were given complete freedom in what would happen in this short film as long as we stuck to a specific list of camera angles. We decided to film in both a drama studio and in Helens house as for our film we decided to go with a woman who lived under the stairs. Personally I believe we should have gone with something that could have been adapted much more but we had a limited time to complete the film and we had already changed the concept once before. As an improvement I would have requested our group made a brief script before hand so we had an idea of where we were going with the film. We were completely winging it so to speak which is why our film didn't turn out as well as we had hoped. When we began to edit the film, we realised that no matter how much we edited and cut the clips we filmed, it wouldn't turn out that well. In the end we decided to turn the finished film into a silent movie as we realised that there was barely any speech in the short film anyway. From this I would definitely chose a much stronger concept next time and I would also create a short brief script or outline on what would happen in the short film and how it would start/finish.
