Evaluation 

‘Ways to Die in a Zombie Apocalypse’ is a 90 second short film that we created for the DepicT! Competition. The short film is an instructional comedy piece that informs people on the many possible ways that they could die in an apocalypse. However, these methods of death have pretty much nothing to do with zombies and are just regular ways to die but with a zombie in the foreground or background. We decided to take this unique and ironic spin on our piece because we wanted our piece to not only be memorable but also because we did not want to rely on the typical zombie bites and scratches as the methods of death.

Overall, I rather liked our piece. It combines horror and gore with almost slapstick comedy and I felt as a group we worked well together to produce our final film. I do feel like we could improve our piece quite a lot if we were given the opportunity to. I feel like we could have possibly included a few more death concepts as we ended up leaving quite a few out. I feel like this was not the best idea but I think we left them out because we were quite cut for time with filming.
