DepicT!

                                                                         DepicT!

Perfect Houseguest:

In this short film from 2015, an animated mouse is the well-mannered house guest that goes around cleaning up messes and essentially just tidies the house. What I like most from this short film is the sheer simplicity of it all. It's light hearted and innocent with a backing track that suits the animation and the overall tale well. The film is unique in its story and is quintessentially very cute.

As I Was Falling:
This short film is one of the earliest winners from 1999 and features the story of a man who has jumped off of the roof of a block of flats and as he is falling he is witnessing through the windows the lives of other people. I rather like that this short film was shot not just in colour but also black and white for when the film switches back to the falling man. I also rather like how as he falls past each window, his reflection is visible on objects in each apartment yet he is not noticed by any one of the occupants.

Cool Unicorn Bruv:
This short film was the winner from 2013 and features two teenagers, one who is trying to sell their bike to another. As the film progress, another teenager appears walking his 'unicorn' the street. What I like most about this is the sheer naiveness of the other two teenagers and how easily they accept that there is a unicorn in front of them. I also rather enjoy how it is a simple, light hearted and comedical piece.
